This morning, we attended the Bunny Breakfast, a fantastic family event, at Nordstrom. We arrived for our reservation at 8am and hustled up the escalator so Steve and I could chug down some coffee. It was early! Each child present received a gift bag filled with ingredients to make jelly bean cupcakes for the Easter Bunny. Fun! We spent the first hour or so enjoying a lovely breakfast of french toast, eggs, bacon, and fresh fruit. The Easter Bunny hopped in during our meal and gave out hugs and high fives and (for our buddies) fist pumps.
When we finished our breakfast, we rode back down the escaltor to join the other families in the festivities. We spent some quality time with the Easter Bunny in his special chair. Then, we found a cowboy whose talents included the ability to make "a hat or any animal we could think of" out of balloons. Ace asked for a cow (just like his beloved Mooberry) and Ben asked for a horse (just like Thunder). Then, they decorated treat bags and filled them with eggs during the egg hunt. It was odd to see them tearing haphazzardly through the (very nice!) department store aisles and not panic.
It was a ton of fun, all before 9:30 on a Saturday morning! Definitely worth getting out of our jammies to attend! Check out the rest of our pictures here.
